An independent Foul Play Review Committee (FPRC) will meet to review Marlie Packer’s case after the England back row received a red card for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.20 (e) (A player must not drop their weight onto an opponent or target the lower limbs) during England’s match against Spain at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Saturday, 2 August.

In line with World Rugby’s expedited off-field sanction process, Packer’s case will be considered by the on-duty FPRC comprising Helen Morgan (chair), Ofisa Tonu’u and Sarah Smith on Sunday, 3 August 2025.
