Australia A’s Ollie Sapsford will have his case reviewed by an Independent Foul Play Review Committee (FPRC) having been issued with a red card (upgraded from yellow card on review) for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.11 (reckless or dangerous play) during the match between Japan XV and Australia A on Saturday, 18 October.

In line with World Rugby’s expedited off-field sanction process, Sapsford’s case will be considered by the on-duty Independent Foul Play Review Committee (FPRC) comprising Wang Shao-ing (chair), Val Toma and Ofisa Tonu’u on Sunday, 19 October 2025.
