Creating Social Impact

ChildFund Rugby leverages the game's potential to drive meaningful social impact by enabling children and young people in vulnerable situations to play, learn, and lead.

Through partnerships with unions and federations worldwide, ChildFund Rugby delivers ground-breaking initiatives, and to date has achieved over 85,000 player registrations and more than 3,100 coach accreditations - more than 50% of them female - across 36 countries. This decade-long legacy of impact is just the beginning. Join our movement to champion a better world through the power of rugby.

Our Star Initiatives

Pass It Back - supports children and youth through rugby and life skills learning, helping them build skills, inspire social change, and become leaders in their communities. Over half of coaches, players, and administrators are girls and young women. Want to see it in action? Check out this video.

Grassroots to Global - is a community leadership initiative that connects grassroots rugby leaders through national forums to tackle barriers to participation, focusing on girls and women. So far, we've partnered with 26 unions worldwide to make this happen, and in 2025 the focus was on getting more women into community coaching.
